…Host Adamawa Queens next week Wednesday
Red-hot Edo Queens Football Club of Benin this evening at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium Ado-Ekiti moved up in group A of the Nigeria Women Football League NWFL premiership with an emphatic 1-0 win over Ekiti Queens in NWFL match day three.
Sensational Edo Queens forward Atume Doosuur, netted in her second goal of the season with a Fantastic header in 65th minutes of play, curling into the far corner of the post leaving Ekiti Queen’s goalkeeper helpless.

The Queens from Benin City played in front of 6, 000 crowd, including top government functionaries. Edo Queens’ only goal of the tension packed game devastated the home fans.Their dominance of chances and possession was high but couldn’t convert the chances.
The second half of the game was full of anxiety, desterity, determination, pressure and intimidation coming from the home fans which would have impeded the smooth running of the game. But thank God for the match officials who stood their ground in the discharge of their duties.
Coach Moses Aduku, made some remarkable substitutions to add bit to the attack as they continually mount pressure on the host side.
Ekiti Queens also made some dangerous attempts on Edo Queens goal but thanks goes to goalkeeper Adjei Charlotte, of Edo Queens who was always there on time to remedy the situation.
At the end of 90 minutes, an extra time of 10 minutes was added, but , Edo Queens went away victorious, leaving the highly aggressive Ekiti Queens fans in pains, tears and agony.
With this victory, Edo Queens now moved up the log with six points having played three matches lost one and won two.
However, kudos goes to the match officials for displaying a high level of professionalism on the pitch of play.
Edo Queens will welcome Adamawa Queens to Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium Benin City next week Wednesday in match day four
of the Nigeria Women Football League NWFL.
