The Executive Chairman of Edo State Sports Commission, Hon. Amadin Desmond Enabulele, has charged the NWFL premiership giants Edo Queens FC to be good ambassadors of the State, as the former NWFL champions lock horns with Ekiti Queens FC today at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium Ado-Ekiti in match day three of the ongoing Nigeria Women Football League NWFL premiership for 2025/2026 season.
The result oriented sports commission boss gave this charge during the team’s last training session at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium Benin City shortly before the team departed for Ekiti State.
“I congratulate you girls for your resilience, you are going for a tough encounter, Edo Queens is a team to beat because of your track records in the annals of Nigeria Woman Football. So, as you travel for this crucial assignment against Ekiti Queens, all eyes are on you to deliver.”
“Don’t be intimidated by the presence of the crowd, just go there show them that Edo Queens are potential champions. I want to say that the State Government is solidly behind you, so go and do us proud’.
“Three points is what we need to prove to them that we are Superior.
We envisage a tough encounter, but we are confidence that Edo Queens will carry the day at the end of regulation time. So on behalf of the State government and the entire management team I wish you all a successful outing in Ekiti.”
