Edo Queens Football Club of Benin will on Wednesday December 10th, 2025 at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado- Ekiti file out against Ekiti Queens in match day three of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL), premiership for 2025/2026 season.
The former league champions from Benin are already in Ado- Ekiti town with stars studded team to honour the league engagement on Wednesday.
Edo Queens who currently occupy 5th position in Group A with 3 points from two matches after their 1-0 victory over Heartland Queens FC of Owerri in the match day 2 played at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium Benin City last week Wednesday will be aiming for their first away victory in Ekiti.
The Benin girls began the new season with a narrow 3-2 defeat at Yenagoa against the defending champions Bayelsa Queens.
Recalled that in 2024/2025, season, Edo Queens humbled Ekiti Queens 3-0 at home, while in the return leg Ekiti Queens pipped Edo Queens 1-0. With this memorable record in mind, the Moses Aduku tutored side will not leave any stone unturned,having suffered a defeat to Bayelsa Queens on league opening match.
According to the captiain of Edo Queens…..” We ready to deliver in this grudge match. No excuses. We didn’t do enough at home against Heartland Queens. So,we are in Ekiti to get something.” She said.
