….As Governor Diri Pre-Season Tournament kicks off Sunday

Former WAFU- B champions Edo Queens Football Club of Benin arrived Bayelsa State this afternoon for the Maiden edition of Governor Diri Douye, pre- season tournament expected to kick off tomorrow Sunday October 19th 2025 at the Samson Siasia Stadium Yenagoa Bayelsa State.

The former Nigeria Women Football League champions, arrived Yenagoa, safely this afternoon with an army of fierce looking players and officials ahead the pre- season competition.

On arrival at the hotel, the governor Okpebholo girls were received with a high ovation from the staff of the hotel and football fans around the environment following their exploits in 2023/24 seasons at. the Super six.
The fans applauded the players and officials charging them to be focused and dedicated in the discharge of their duties.

The Moses Aduku tutored side have since settled into their base at the Ericole Hotel in Yenagoa where they will spend the next 10 days showcasing their talents in the pre- season showplace and at the same time fine-tuning their preparations for the 2025/26 NWFL league season.
Draws for the 1st edition of Governor Diri Douye, female pre- season fiesta will take place this evening as the invited participating teams are already in Bayelsa State for the big show.

Edo Queens FC will have their first doze of training session this evening, why they await the draws.
